Privacy

Site Checkups is run by Synergy ("we"). This page explains what we collect when you use sitecheckups.com and app.sitecheckups.com, and what we do with it. The short version: we collect what we need to run the reports and take payment, we don't sell anything, and you can ask us to delete your data at any time.

When you run a report

• The address you enter and that page's public content. Our server fetches the page, the same way a visitor's browser would, and sends its text to an AI model to write the report.
• The report. We keep reports so the same site doesn't have to be analyzed twice. The free part of a report can be shown to anyone who enters the same address. The paid Growth Plan is only shown to accounts that bought it.
• A one-way hash of your IP address, stored with each new report so we can enforce the daily free limit. We can't turn it back into your IP address, and we delete it after 30 days.

When you create an account

• Your email address and password. Passwords are stored as a secure hash; we never see them.
• The sites you've saved to your dashboard and the reports you've bought.

When you pay

Payments go through Stripe. We receive your email address, the site you paid for, and whether the payment succeeded. We never see or store your card details.

Analytics and cookies

We use Google Analytics to count visits and see which pages and steps people use, so we can improve the product. It sets cookies in your browser. Signing in also stores a session in your browser so you stay logged in.

Who processes your data

We use these services to run Site Checkups. Each one only gets what it needs for its job.

• Supabase: our database, sign-in and server functions (hosted in Canada).
• Anthropic: the AI model that reads the page content you submit and writes the report.
• Stripe: payments.
• Resend: account emails, such as confirmations and password resets.
• Vercel and Cloudflare: hosting, DNS and network security.
• Google Analytics: visit statistics.

What we don't do

We don't sell your data, rent it, or use it for advertising. We don't add the sites you analyze to any mailing list.

Your choices

Email hello@sitecheckups.com to get a copy of your data, correct it, or delete your account and everything tied to it. We'll do it within 30 days and confirm by email.

Site Checkups isn't meant for children under 16, and we don't knowingly collect their data.

Changes

If we change this policy, we'll update the date at the top. If a change affects how we use data you've already given us, we'll email account holders first.
